Children’s Fund
Our program accepts blankets, stuffed animals, and books for children who are hospitalized. One of our caring pediatric nurses assures that each child receives one of these gifts to make his or her stay a little easier.
You can help by contributing to the Children’s Fund, or by donating items that meet the following criteria:
- Purchased Items
New books appropriate for ages 0 to 12. Stuffed animals must have no removable parts, and be of a washable material with polyester filling. - Hand-made Items
Quilts need to be two thicknesses only. Please do not include filling and do not tie with yarn. Quilt sizes are 30" by 35" and 72" by 80".
Knitted or crocheted baby-size blankets. Please use non-allergenic yarn that can be washed and dried. - Monetary Contributions
The La Porte Hospital Foundation Children’s Fund accepts contributions to assist with the purchase of books, stuffed animals and materials to create the blankets for hospitalized children, and attend to other children’s needs while in the hospital. Click here to make a monetary donation.
